Hankook Tire Europe Technical Center (ETC) based in Hannover, Germany is one of Hankook Tire’s five global R&D centers (along with Korea, United States, Japan, China) and is responsible for the development and testing of tire solutions for European road conditions – working together with premium European vehicle manufacturers. Indoor test operation and quality control for European tire production in Hungary are also controlled by ETC.

As an Expert for Tire Wear, you will contribute to the development and optimization of tire wear performance within our global R&D organization. You will be responsible for designing and conducting advanced test programs, analyzing results, and supporting international collaboration projects to enhance tire durability and efficiency.

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, execute, and analyze tire tests in collaboration with the HK EU sales and technical team
  • Organize, coordinate, and manage fleet tests (truck and taxi)
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, Hankook workshop & warehouse, and the R&D Center (developers)
  • Analyze, document, and report measurement data
  • Track measurement data, time intervals, and tire lifecycle
  • Support market observation and collect and analyze product performance (including competitive comparisons through field data collection)
  • Support sales-supporting measures across all product areas (PCR, LTR, and TBR tires) and assist the Hankook sales team in all technical matters
  • Solve technical problems and handle complaints on-site and centrally
  • Conduct technical training sessions

     

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree, other certifications:
  • Completed technical training in the automotive sector, e.g., certified automotive master technician or a comparable qualification
  • Solid MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in the automotive sector, ideally in the tire industry; customer service experience is a plus
  • Technical/Functional Skills: Confident use of laptops, tablets, measurement devices and Hankook evaluation software tools

  • Fluent German and English skills, both in written and spoken
